Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. He’s in the business of changing minds (and hearts). Isn’t that what salvation is? I was once walking in darkness; now I live in the light and I’m alive in Christ. He’s living in me through the Holy Spirit. I’m part of the living body of Christ in the Church, and He’s daily changing me, my mind, my heart, and changing how I live in the world as I abide in Him. (And He's doing it for you too!) Praise Jesus!! Earlier this week I launched the first episode in a 4-part series called Seeking Certainty. Sometimes, all of the unknowns of life and our dreams can feel pretty daunting. We want clarity. We want certainty. Because maybe, we think, it wouldn’t feel so scary if we had those things. If you’re prone to fatalistic thinking (or have a loud inner critic like me), it might feel easier to give up on a dream before you even begin because the questions come like wildfire and it’s difficult to know what to do with them. This week, in episode 311, I’m diving into the essential art of asking better questions and how doing so affects the way we think about our God-shaped dreams. Whether you're nurturing a new vision or reigniting an old passion, this episode is packed with insights that will help you navigate the uncertainties and foster strength on the journey. If you've felt stuck, uncertain, or fearful about the next steps in your dream pursuit, this episode is tailor-made for you because it will help you shift how you’re thinking about your dream. 🎙️ A few highlights from the episode: Transitioning Seasons: As we prepare for the shift from summer’s sun-kissed days into the structured rhythm of fall, it’s the perfect time to reignite dreams that may have been on hold for a while. The Power of Better Questions: We explore why the types of questions you ask are crucial and how fear-based "what if" questions can be transformed into productive queries that propel you forward. Faith and Trust: Learn how deepening your relationship with God can influence the way you pursue your dream, turning uncertainties into opportunities for growth. Community Support: Discover the importance of walking this path with other dreamers. You're not alone—find out how the Dream Believers community can bolster your journey. 🌟 And finally… Transform Your Mindset: I talk about how you can replace fear with faith and uncertainty with action by asking more of the right questions. Isn’t it amazing that God’s Word teaches that it’s possible to think differently? There’s one more thing from that verse in Romans 12 that I don’t want us to miss. It follows the word “Then.” Let’s look at it again: Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. What does “test and approve” mean? I wanted to be sure, so I looked it up in the Blue Letter Bible and one of the definitions of the word translated as “prove” is this: “to recognize as genuine after examination” Once you are transformed by the renewing of your mind, then you will be able to recognize as genuine God’s good, pleasing and perfect will. Allowing God to shift how we think changes how we see His will. At least that’s what I’m taking from this little mini word study today. And in that, He helps us see our dreams (and our questions) in a new light. Will you join me in a conversation about asking better questions? Here’s the link again to listen. With you, ~Merritt P.S.
