Terri’s story: from unsure to confident in her dream

Reader,

Picture yourself two years from now doing something you once thought impossible, something that feels like a natural extension of who you are and your faith in Jesus.

Can you see yourself there?

Empowered by your faith in a God you loves you and chose you.

Using your gifts and talents the way you were meant to.

Reaching others who are inspired and encouraged by your work.

Feeling awake and alive to the possibilities.

You're aware that He is working in and through you to bring His redemptive purposes to a hurting world.

It’s a beautiful vision, isn’t it?

I also want you to know that it’s POSSIBLE for you.

As November reminds us to turn our hearts toward gratitude, I’m celebrating some big wins with a few of my clients (not just for me or for them, but also for YOU…a look at what can happen when the right mix of support, encouragement, accountability, faith and action come together).

In case you missed Michelle’s story last week, you’ll find it here.

The women I’m featuring are dreamers just like you: mothers, grandmothers, solopreneurs, and creatives with a heart for Jesus.

They began without much more than their faith and an idea.

And since then, they have devoted consistent time, effort, and prayer so they could listen to the Lord and partner with Him to bring their dreams to life.

I’m calling this series Dreams in Bloom.

I pray you receive these stories as a personal invitation into the courage and hope of what’s possible when you say “yes” to your God-shaped dream.

This week I’m featuring my friend, client, and fellow coach, Terri Albrecht.

I met Terri at a workshop I hosted in 2022. She knew she had a dream, but she kept second-guessing herself and the dream. She had some ideas but didn’t know how to move forward.

She started in my Dreamer Lab early the following year, even though she wasn’t sure what she was signing up for or whether her ministry idea had real value.

She just knew she was tired of trying to figure it out alone.

Back then, her dream was about helping churches launch new ministries. But how would she find churches who needed support? Where should she even begin?

Through coaching, community, and a whole lot of prayer over the last two years, Terri started to find momentum. She tried new things, led workshops, met over 200 people in the process, and discovered that growth happens one imperfect step at a time.

She says what’s changed most is her confidence to try new things.

She no longer feels paralyzed by fear; she’s learned to “feel the fear and do it anyway,” stepping out in faith and trusting that God is leading her.

Today, Terri’s dream has blossomed into something even more specific and meaningful—a coaching ministry that helps people approach end-of-life conversations with peace, faith, and hope.

Her latest baby step?

Next month she’s launching a beta test group called The Gathering: Life and Legacy Conversations—a monthly online space for talking about life, death, and what matters most.

What once felt too scary to even imagine is now a sacred space God is building through her willingness to take risks and follow His lead.

Do you see it? Can you imagine it for yourself? Terri’s story shows how clarity, confidence, and joy are magnified when you stop trying to do it all alone.

She’s proof that when you keep taking small steps toward the dream God placed in your heart, He brings insight, courage, and fruit you couldn’t have imagined at the start.

If you’re craving the kind of clarity and confidence Terri has found for her dream, your next small step is to experience this community for yourself.

Take a test drive iniside Dream Believers and join us at the next Dreamer Mastermind on Wednesday, December 10th. It’s free to attend; no preparation required. Just show up and be present for the conversation.

Let’s see what God might grow in you, too.

If Terri’s Life & Legacy ministry speaks to your heart, there are still beta test seats available for The Gathering: Life and Legacy Conversations, launching next month. Click here to register. You can be part of this first circle of women helping shape something beautiful.

Come on back for next week’s Dreams in Bloom story and another glimpse of what’s possible when women follow the quiet, faithful tug of a God-shaped dream. 🌸

With you,

~Merritt

P.S. Like Terri, maybe you know you need help with your dream, but you feel some uncertainty about showing up to a Zoom call with a bunch of strangers. I understand; so I made this clip from a recent Dream Believers Mastermind call to give you a little glimpse into why dreamers say it’s their favorite thing we do together every month! Check it out and then come back here to RSVP if it feels like a fit.
